Bikers, bladers and skaters are rolling at the Fargo Skate Park, a formed-concrete facility that is open dawn to dusk and has challenges for beginner, intermediate and advanced athletes. Four disc golf courses will keep your head spinning with a smile. They’re just part of the metro area’s extensive system of 175 public parks that cover more than 3,000 acres, including 99 miles of biking and hiking trails, 20 public and several private golf courses, and softball, baseball, tennis, swimming and cross-country skiing facilities.
In Fargo, anglers are a short drive to a plethora of fresh water fishing with plenty of lake options in both North Dakota and Minnesota. When it comes to hunting, big game, waterfowl and upland game are just the beginning. Just want to watch wildlife? There are plenty of places to hike or go birdwatching.
