Career Clusters

Career interests that fall under a similar line of work, clusters are based on individuals applying similar skills and interests to explore, define or expand their career path. Career clusters often have things in common like skills and interests to apply to a job.

Why we use it

Utilizing a career cluster concept allows individuals to break out of the confines of viewing career opportunities based solely on college majors and develops the knowledge and awareness that one’s skills and interests can lead to a variety of opportunities. Starting with exploration of Career Clusters helps individuals to identify their transferable skills and abilities and align their passions and genuine interests. This allows students to weigh their options and explore a broad range of career paths to help students find the one(s) they want to pursue.
