I am both a Spud and a Dragon, originally from Moorhead. My family and I currently reside in Fargo near downtown. I enjoy a mix of community connection, family fun, and simple pleasures. I love spending time with my family exploring local restaurants and hot spots—especially if it involves games, a sunny patio, or chips and queso with a good margarita. I’m a fan of thrift shopping and wandering through antique malls, as well as starting the day with a great cup of coffee or a cozy breakfast spot. I’m also passionate about personal and professional growth, and I find joy in volunteering, serving on committees, and helping connect people who can support each other or spark new ideas. When I slow down, I love relaxing in our backyard on the weekends, soaking up a good audiobook, podcast, or playlist.
Meeting new people and helping them feel included comes naturally to me, and I enjoy sparking conversations that turn into meaningful connections. Through my years of involvement in professional organizations, volunteering, and community events, I’ve seen firsthand how a warm introduction or friendly conversation can make someone feel instantly at home.
Professional Involvement: I have a long history of leadership within the FMWF Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network (YPN), where I served as Leadership Chair as well as Chair of both the Social and Professional Development Committees. I also dedicated five years to the American Advertising Federation of North Dakota (AAF-ND), serving in multiple roles including Member at Large, Social Committee Chair, Vice President, President, and Ex-Officio. Additionally, I supported the United Way of Cass Clay in several capacities, including as an Employee Campaign Coordinator, Loaned Executive, and member of the Investment Review Panel. I also served on the Directors of Volunteer Service board of directors.
Volunteer Service: I am passionate about supporting local nonprofits and community initiatives. Over the years, I’ve volunteered with the YWCA, Ronald McDonald House, Relay for Life, Hope Blooms, Farm in the Dell, and many others. I have also been a recurring volunteer for Good for Nothing, a pro bono marketing event through AAF-ND that provides free marketing support to local nonprofits.
Community Impact: Through these roles, I’ve had the opportunity to strengthen local organizations, support fundraising and community initiatives, and connect with professionals and neighbors to help make our community thrive.
On a free day I’d start with a cozy morning at a local coffee shop, journaling and soaking in the quiet. Then I’d wander through a few thrift stores, headphones on and my favorite playlist keeping me company. I’d treat myself to lunch and a margarita at Vinyl Taco, followed by a relaxing massage. I’d end the day at home, unwinding with my family and enjoying a peaceful evening together.
