Vangsness
As a South Dakota native, I originally moved to Fargo for college and attended M-State in Moorhead, but the welcoming community and vibrant opportunities convinced me to stay and build a life here. After 22 years, I’m proud to call Fargo home as I raise my family in this growing and thriving city.
As a dedicated single mom, I’ve always believed in the power of community and giving back. For 9 years, I served as the treasurer for the worship board at my local church, with 2 of those years as the worship board director. My passion for leadership also led me to be an emerging leader with the United Way for 6 years. Additionally, I contributed my insights as an advisory board member for the graphic design program at M-State, volunteered with the PTA for 9 years at my children’s schools, and managed hockey teams for many years. While I’ve stepped back to focus more on my kids, these experiences have shaped who I am and continue to inspire me.
On a free day I would get a morning work out in, go shopping or chores around the house/yard (depends on the day and mood), then meet a friend for a quick happy hour and make it home in time to make dinner for my kids.
