Andrew Young

Fargo Alumni Feature
Meet the Alumnus
From student storyteller to creative leader, Andrew’s story has taken him halfway across the world, before bringing him back to Fargo.
As a student at NDSU, Andrew dove headfirst into storytelling by getting involved in the Bison Information Network, and working on the student produced news shows. A passion for media took him far: from producing awards shows in Los Angeles to an ABC internship at ABC in New York. But after years of chasing opportunities around the world, he began to think differently about success looked like. He missed the little things: short commutes, space, grocery stores with everything you need, and family.
In 2015, Andrew returned to Fargo. A year later he started Abovo, a marketing and design agency grounded in creativity, collaboration, and relationships.
For Andrew, Fargo isn’t just a hometown, it’s a place that gives more than it takes. It’s a community, a city that opens doors. it’s a home.

Thinking about moving back?
Fargo isn’t trying to be something it’s not. We’re not a sprawling metropolis—but we are a city that offers stability, opportunity, and a strong sense of community. If you’re looking for a place where you can grow your career, raise a family, and truly feel at home, the greater Fargo-Moorhead area is that place.
